|| Turkey update
As you may have heard in the headlines, bird flu is becoming an increasing risk. Brought in by wild birds, we are having to be super careful, particularly at this time of year with geese and other migratory birds in full flight.
We have therefore made the decision to bring our turkeys under cover for the next few weeks. We are pleased to say, that despite the stress of constructing it all those years ago (think umbrella in the wind), the polytunnel is ideal as it has plenty of fresh air and light.
We've given the turkeys lots of extra fresh straw and oyster shells, hung CDs on strings and have Classic FM playing to keep them active and happy. Our highest priorities are the welfare of the birds as well as to ensure that everyone has a turkey this Christmas.
